Vivekanand Jha ((ヒンディー語:विवेकानदं झा)) (born 1977) is a translator, editor and award winning Indian poet.〔〔〔 He has written and edited several critical and academic books including poetry in English. His poetry is widely published in
India, US, UK,
Canada,
Australia,
Nigeria and
Thailand. Recently he has edited a poetry anthology, ''The Dance of the Peacock: An Anthology of English Poetry from India'',〔 featuring 151 Indian English poets and published by Hidden Brook Press,
Canada. He is the founder and chief editor of two literary journals, ''VerbalArt: A Global Journal Devoted to Poets and Poetry'' & ''Phenomenal Literature: A Global Journal Devoted to Language and Literature'' published by Authorspress,
New Delhi, India.
==Early life==
Vivekanand was born and raised at Mahinam-Pohaddi near
Benipur in the
Darbhanga district of
Bihar. He is the son of the noted professor,
polyglot, poet and
Sahitya Akademi-award-winning translator Dr. Raja Nand Jha.
He studied at the
IGNOU and
Lalit Narayan Mithila University. He has a
diploma in
Electronics and
Communication Engineering, a certificate in
computer hardware and
networking, and an MA and Ph.D in English.〔
